To inherit and promote excellent traditional Chinese culture and broaden channels for international cultural exchange, the Mudan District of Heze City, Shandong Province recently invited foreign friends to visit Yao Xun Peony Garden, Mudan Park, and Li Hongzhou Village. There, they immersed themselves in intangible cultural heritage experiences and witnessed the remarkable achievements of rural revitalization. The two sides also exchanged views on Sino-foreign friendship and discussed matters of cooperation and development.

At the Yaoxun Peony and Mudan Park, the foreign friends visited the exhibition hall and production area, and learned in detail about the cultivation of peony varieties, the research and development of deep processing, and the full-chain industrialization development. Liu Huili, the representative inheritor of the Peony White Porcelain Intangible Cultural Heritage in Mudan District, explained the peony porcelain production process to the foreign friends. From selecting kaolin, hand-pulling peony petals, to firing, applying glaze, and high-temperature firing, more than twenty complex procedures were demonstrated, showcasing the unique technique of "flowers blooming on porcelain". Each lifelike and never-fading peony porcelain work attracted continuous praise from the foreign friends present. They closely observed the peony porcelain cultural exhibits and truly experienced the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional intangible cultural heritage.

Subsequently, the foreign friends' group visited Li Hongzhou Village. As a demonstration model village for rural revitalization in Mudan District, Li Hongzhou Village, based on its peony resources, has taken the path of integrating agriculture, tourism, and culture. They visited the village's landscape, the peony planting area, and learned about the peony planting, deep processing, and e-commerce sales full-chain development model. They closely experienced the vivid practice of peony industry driving villagers' income growth and discussed deepening industrial cooperation and promoting cultural mutual learning.

During the exchange, the foreign friends expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception by the Mudan Street. Ms. Lydia Tadesse, a senior official and deputy auditor general from the Sidama Region of Ethiopia, said that the peony industry has distinctive features, profound intangible cultural heritage, and remarkable achievements in rural revitalization. This trip left a deep impression on her and she hopes to bring the practical experience of developing and promoting rural revitalization in China back to Ethiopia. Mr. Habtamu, an American friend, said that Heze has a strong development momentum and vast cooperation opportunities. He is willing to act as a "connector" and actively promote and introduce Heze, promoting more Chinese investors to enter Ethiopia and expanding practical cooperation and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results in economic and trade investment, cultural exchange, and other fields.

Intangible cultural heritage carries the profound Chinese civilization. Rural revitalization writes a new chapter of development in the new era. This visit and experience activity allowed foreign friends to closely contact with the intangible cultural heritage of Heze, witness the changes of rural development in the new era, and build a bridge for cultural communication between China and foreign countries.
