In Weiwan Town, Cao County, Heze City, farmers are taking advantage of the clear weather to harvest lotus roots from the vast lotus ponds along the old course of the Yellow River. Continuously, pristine, tender, and plump new lotus roots are transported to markets across the country, creating a bustling scene of harvest abundance in the lotus fields.

The freshly dug lotus roots are quickly transported to the local purchasing site, where workers simultaneously sort, package, and load them onto trucks for quick delivery to markets outside the area.

It is understood that Weiwan Town in Cao County, Heze has a lotus root planting area of over 10,000 mu. In recent years, relying on the wetland resources of the old course of the Yellow River, the local area has made good use of its unique water and soil conditions, promoted ecological planting modes, continuously extended the industrial chain, and promoted the integrated development of agriculture and tourism, allowing the "10,000-mu lotus pond" to continuously release benefits for enriching the people.
